New Year, New Goals, New Projects, New Challenges. See you later 2020, although I'm proud to say that 2020 was a great year as far as business is concerned, and I'm looking for us to achieve greatness during 2021. We just completed our "Garage Conversion/Addition Project in Silver Spring, MD, (See our photos in the Addition Gallery), and now we're working on a new kitchen remodel project in Silver Spring, MD., and some small handyman projects. I want to thank everyone who contributed to the success of P. L. Johnson Construction, Inc., this past year and "Let's Get it In" in 2021.

It's been a crazy year and we're closing to the end of 2020. We look forward to new challenges, new opportunities and a very prosperous year. So Happy New Year Everyone.
A good house always have to have a good and solid foundation. That's where it starts at, the bottom on up. Same thing with any business , sport teams and etc. That's why I believe our Washington Football Team or The old Redskins Team hasn't been winning since Jack Kent Cooke died. I call it the Jack Kent Cooke Curse. He should've left it to his son, and I bet we would've been winning the past 20 years. With that being said, here's a few pics of a project getting started in Silver Spring, MD. We're building this addition with concrete footings and concrete piers, which is engineered for a good solid foundation. Have a good week and I'll talk to you soon!
We've started a new "Garage Conversion and Addition Project" in Silver Spring, MD and we're moving right along with it. Here are a few pics!
Our Sunroom Project is finally finished. Please visit our Gallery page and look under "Outdoor Structures and Additions to find the new pictures. Thanks!
Well it looks like the end of summer is approaching us real fast. I think we have maybe around 18 more days left. It's getting darker earlier and it's getting cooler. I love this time of year because of the cool temperatures. It's good working weather. I've been real busy lately and haven't posted anything on here in awhile. We are close to finishing up one of our projects in Takoma Park, MD. We have one more week worth of work to complete. I'll post new pictures in about a week or two weeks. Talk to you then. Have a good Labor Day Weekend!.
Wow! I've been so busy that I'm just realizing that I haven't put a post on here since April of this year. Well since then we've completed two more jobs. A whole house remodel in Silver Spring, MD and a Garage Addition in DC. Here is a pic of the Garage Addition. I'll write about some other things soon. I'm heading to an appointment. Thanks.
Well, we're moving right along with our Garage Addition in DC. All the block work is done and the prep work for the concrete slab is done. Next week we'll have foundation walls and concrete slab inspections, then we'll start framing the walls and roof.
These are some very tough times for most people around the world right now. This coronavirus has taken all of us hostage. I never would've imagined anything like this happening to us. People are dying all over the world. I pray everyday that God will bring this to an end. I know it's in his hands and he will do what's right. Fortunately we had two projects already in place before this outbreak begun. Also fortunate that one job is a garage addition, meaning that all of our work is outside and the other job is a whole house renovation in which the homeowners moved out in order for us to do the project. So I'm very thankful for having work where we don't have to worry about the homeowners or kids. I'm pretty sure no one is hiring for construction projects right. now. Nobody wants a contractor in their house do to this virus. Hopefully I'll write a post next month saying that this is almost over and were getting back to normal activities. Please be safe! Until next time.
Well, the New Year started off with a tremendous loss for me. I lost my father. Yes, my father passed away on January 15, 2020. That is also Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday. The funeral was just this pass Friday, so I'm just getting back to work and trying to move on and keep things together. It's been real difficult, but I know my father would want me to keep getting up. So that's exactly what I'm going to do. I'm going to dedicate this year to my father. I'm going to make this year the best year ever for P. L. Johnson Construction, Inc. If anything, I feel motivated to accomplish everything that I always talked about to my father. He know's the ups and downs of this business because I would tell him on a day to day and sometimes on a weekly basis of what I've been doing and going through. Only now I don't have his ear to hear and listen to my problems and my successes. So right now I talk to him everyday in prayer. God took him for a reason. So Daddy, this year is for you. Please help lead me and guide me and the company in the right direction. I know your spirit will always be with me. I Love you!
