P. L. Johnson Construction, Inc. was established in 1997 in Takoma Park, Maryland. Founder and president, Phillip L. Johnson, has over 31 years experience in the construction business. When Mr. Johnson realized he had a talent and service that would help homeowners with the remodeling and beautification of their homes he established P. L. Johnson Construction, Inc.
Mr. Johnson has worked on several major projects within the Washington Metropolitan area - one being Union Station - where he assisted in supervising the installation of framing and drywall within several stores located in the mall. Mr. Johnson has worked with several leading companies such as Donahoe Construction on several sites, as with Case Design, and Chevy Chase Design/Build firm in the mid 1980's. Mr. Johnson also worked with Southern Management in renovating several apartment buildings located in the Montgomery County area. He was instrumental with Mariner Health Care as a supervisor in renovating several nursing homes in the Metro DC area.
Furthermore, Mr. Johnson has several years of art, designing and architectural experience. He has several pieces of his own art work hanging on display within his home and other homes in the Washington Metropolitan areas. Mr. Johnson has designed many offices, basements, outdoor structures (decks, landscape walkways etc.), kitchens, baths, and custom installations of tile and hardwood flooring. From painting internal and external structures, designing and building additions, custom wet bars, bookcases, closets, etc, there's nothing in this industry that he hasn't done.
