The final walls are almost complete at our Taylor St. Project. We'll start the installation of the floor joists soon.
The official start of Spring is tomorrow March 20, 2019. This Screen Porch Project is getting near the finish line and looking good.
We've just started a new project in Washington, DC. This project consists of building a new two-story addition and installing a new level on part of the existing house. I will keep you posted on the updates. Attached is a picture of what the house looks like now and what it will look like when completed.
Happy New Year! Welcome to 2019! I'm looking forward to a very successful and prosperous New Year! I want to thank all of our customers during the year of 2018 and I hope that we fulfilled your dreams of creating a better living space for you and your family. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Christmas is right around the corner. That means gift giving. Also it means being thankful for what you have and what you've accomplished during the year. We will be going into 2019 real soon. I'm really thankful and blessed for being able to create projects and bring to life the dreams of my customers. It's been a very busy year for us and we're still busy in the month of December and going into the New Year. I look forward to making 2019 one of the best years ever at P. L. Johnson Construction, Inc. I love challenges and creating new projects and ideas, this really gets my mind going, keeps me excited and keeps me moving. Here's a Toast to "Christmas and the New Year"!
Well the Fall season is here and this means leaves, leaves and more leaves. This year I decided I wasn't going through what I've been going through ever since I've had a pond and that is Spring cleanup of leaves, acorns, dirt and etc. that accumulates in the pond during the Fall season. So this year I've invested in a "Pond Shelter" which is a screen that covers and protects the pond from falling leaves, acorns and etc. It also keeps the predators out. So once all of the leaves fall, I will remove the net for the winter time. Then by the time Spring gets here, I'll be looking good.
Well we finally finished one of our old projects and I mean literally old, "This Old House". Built in the early 1900's We had some setbacks, delays and etc., but we finally got there. We knocked down the existing rear two-story addition and built a new two-story addition with a sitting room, closet, bathroom on top level and with storage room below. Removed all of the old siding on entire house and installed Tyvek paper on entire house then installed double furring strips ...overtop of Tyvek and then installed new 1 1/2" rigid insulation in between on the exterior walls, new Hardi-Plank Siding, new Versatex trim boards throughout the exterior. Those boards will never rot, so they don't have to worry about ever replaceing the wood, new gutters and downspouts and new composite decking boards on both porches and painting of entire exterior of house. Another satisfied customer. Thanks to all of my crew who helped out on this project to bring it to completion. No need to name them, they know who they are.
